Introduction

Bury Lake Young Mariners (BLYM) is a youth charity organisation (Reg no. 1102162) which is used by over 5000 people each year. Located in the picturesque Rickmansworth Aquadrome, BLYM is run entirely by over 100 volunteers.

Take to the Water - Free Taster Sail

With our team on hand, you’ll get the chance to give sailing a go, whether it’s for the first time or you’re just a bit rusty- we’ll take you from sinking to sailing in half an hour.

Travel in style… - Free Ferry Ride

Running between our clubhouse and The Café in The Park, ferries will be running non-stop over the weekend. Just turn up and we’ll do the rest!

Good with your hands?

For just £1 you’ll get a kit with everything you need to make your very own dinky dinghy. Put your design to the test against the clock and have a shot at the prize. A 5-day sailing course voucher is up for grabs!

Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy…

Balance a £1 coin on a floating lemon and you can win the spoils of all those who weren’t so lucky, plus some sherbet lemons to sweeten the deal.  Give it a go, we dare you!

Volunteering

As all our Member are aware we are a volunteer run organisation, which therefore means we cannot do it without your help.

We ask that all our members put in as little as one day a year to help the running of the base. To volunteer your time simply have a look at the Dutyman in Club - Duties, and then simply say when you would like to help us out. Club Sundays

This year we are introducing general sailing to all Individual, Student and Family members on a Sunday.

It wont be every week, the proposed dates for this year are:

7th October

Capital Expenditure

As a result of BLYM's capital expenditure for 2012, we have already begun to receive a series of new boats and equipment for all of you to use in the new year.

Online Booking - Dates for 2012

The dates for 2012 courses are on the website. These include all of the Youth Committee Events. There is the potential for a few last minute changes to times and minor details, but we are open to bookings for 2012.

If you have any problems, just click on the help link on the left hand side to submit a support ticket. This will be the most effective and fastest way to get a reply (even if urgent!)
