BLYM has arranged with one of our affiliated groups to offer Stand Up Paddle Board Hire at BLYM. This popular and fast-growing activity is ideal at a time when social distancing is required as it can be enjoyed by all without infringing government restrictions. Anyone can book, with the minimum age being 8.

If you haven't tried paddle boarding before or would like a bit of supervision we run introductory fun sessions on Tuesday & Thursday evenings and all day Sunday. Sessions should be booked on the BLYM website Stand Up Paddle Board Introduction ,the charge is £18.00 per person including Boards, Paddles & Buoyancy Aids. 

For those who have enjoyed a introductory session or want coaching in Stand Up Paddle Boarding we are running the BSUPA Ready to Ride Course.

For those who are qualified or experienced we offer two recreational sessions each week, Saturday morning 10am & 2pm, both 2 hours duration.  The charge is £10 per head plus an additional £1 day membership fee for non-members.  There are five boards available each session.  Sessions must be booked in advance on the BLYM website Stand Up Paddle Board Hire.  Equipment is rotated and quarantined between sessions.  Our changing rooms are still closed, so until the government allows us to reopen them you will need to travel in your on-the-water clothes or bring a robe or large towel for changing.  Other arrangements are the same as for sailing activities as shown on our website.  Sessions run throughout the summer.

COVID-19

Before booking a paddle board, a boat or members using their own boats you must read BLYM's COVID-19 information (the same information can be found on the website's menu). There is a video at the end of the document which provides an extremely useful guide on how things will work at BLYM. 

Private Sailing Lessons

If you would prefer individual sailing teaching at times to suit you then a private lesson could be a great option. Sessions are three hours or six hours depending if you choose a day course or a half day course. We will tailor the session to your specific needs whatever the level. You will receive the undivided attention of a qualified instructor, enabling you to get the maximum benefit from the lesson. Our Galley is Open

At long last we are pleased to announce that the galley will reopen this Saturday, albeit slightly reduced. All hot drinks will be served in disposable cups and cake/sweet items are all in individual factory sealed packaging. Alas we are not able to serve the much beloved chocolate muffins!! Payments in excess of £1 can be made using a card machine
