Looking for more of a challenge? Want a more competitive approach to racing? Bored of our casual Sunday Racing?
Why not try our Autumn Race Series, running on Sunday mornings from November 14th – December 19th. It’s perfect for those looking for a more competitive and faster paced approach to racing.
Our new Race Series will start on Sunday November 14th and run for six weeks. Every week participants will compete in two races, to compete for the Autumn Cup. Racers will choose a class of boat to race in for the series and as usual we will be using the RYA Portsmouth Yardstick enabling us to have few restrictions on the class of boat allowed (See Sailing Instructions for details).
How Does the Scoring Work?
We will be using the RYA Portsmouth Yardstick (handicap system) to allow different classes of boats to compete together. Every week racers will get points for the place you come on the score board and at the end of the series the racer with the lowest score will win. See Sailing instructions for more details.
Please read the sailing instructions before attending the race series.

Do I have to attend every week?
No, but as you are taking part in a series, you will receive the maximum points penalty for the races you have missed as we do want to reward those who are committed to attending the series.
Do I have to book and where do I book?
You must book on or before the 14 November to take part in the Race Series. Details below.
What are the rules?
We follow the rules for racing governed by world sailing with a few adjustments. All the details can be found in our Sailing Instructions.
