RYA Sailing with Spinnakers
Course Summary
You will learn how to handle a modern asymmetric spinnaker, covering power zones and boat speed, balance, and how to hist, gybe and drop a spinnaker. The course follows the RYA Sailing With Spinnakers syllabus from the National Sailing Scheme, with successful candidates receiving the certificate on completion.
Prior to attending this course you should have comfortably mastered the skills learnt on the RYA Seamanship course.

- How to rig the boat, gybe and recover one type of spinnaker, either conventional or asymmetric
- How to sail the best possible course downwind

This RYA course is held under the Bury Lake Young Mariners Recognised Training Centre at our base at the Rickmansworth Aquadrome. The maximum Instructor to Student Ratio is: 1:6 and the minimum duration for the course is 2 Days. The following material is provided to you as part of your course:
