RYA Powerboat Level 2
Level: Beginner | Age: Strictly 14 + | Typical Time: 9:30 - 17:00
Course Summary
A two day weekend course covering manoeuvres at high and low speed in a variety of craft, enabling you to operate a powerboat safely and with confidence. You'll have the chance to try out both diesel and petrol engines as well as a more powerful craft, which is brought in especially for the course. Full safety precautions are observed and participants are responsible for the preparation and storage of the powerboats used to make them fully sufficient.
Perfect for instructors, group leaders or regular assistant wardens who want to take a larger role in running the club.
If you have 3 people, we can accommodate courses on an ad hoc basis.
Please note: Level 1 is NOT required for entry to Level 2 and most adults go straight in at Level 2.
'All instructors, were able to impart their knowledge and experience in an authoritative but inclusive manner interacting well with all course participants... They really seamed to enjoy their teaching even on a weekend.'
