SUP Level 1 Paddleboard course, Adults & Children 12+ Course

Summary

The 'Start' award is the first step on the Paddle UK pathway. The course is for adults & older children (14yrs) who want to learn to Paddleboard. This course is ideal for complete beginners, those who have been on the taster session, new board owners, people who want to develop their skills or even families hiring a SUP on holiday.

During the course you will be given an introduction on how the weather and environment affects you, how to carry the board and paddle, paddling technique, different types of turns, self-rescue and how to safely fall.

The 2-hour course is run on flat water. Subject to demonstrating the required skills throughout the session you will receive your Paddle UK Start Award.

No previous experience required. Cost: - £48 per person. Cost includes buoyancy aid, board, paddle & temporary BLYM membership.

Wetsuits are available for hire at £2 each,

Sessions run with a minimum of 3 so we reserve the right to move or cancel your booking if required numbers are not met.
