SUP Hire (Public & Members)

Course Summary

Hire a SUP & explore our beautiful lake. Stand, sit, kneel whatever takes your fancy. Paddle boarding is a unique way for anyone to exercise or explore our lake. Seeking relaxation? Glide over calm waters. Or wanting to develop those skills? Pop a trick for the watching dog walkers or nail that headstand!

BLYM is offering Stand Up Paddle boarding 'SUP' hire to our members & the public.

Prerequisites: - Previous experience and qualification are required.

We accept Paddle UK (British Canoeing) Start Award, Discover Award or Explore Award. BSUPA Ready to Ride or Born to Ride. (Please bring proof).

Min Age: 8yrs (anyone under 14 yrs will need a qualified/experienced adult on the water with them to supervise)

Cost: - £10 per person plus an additional £1 day membership fee for the two hours. Hire charge includes a buoyancy aid that must be worn, board & paddle.

Wetsuits:- are available for hire at £2 each, Remember to bring suitable shoes (not open toe) to wear in the water. Book online & collect your SUP from the Duty Warden. Full Joining Instructions shared after booking, including clothing & footwear requirements.

Addition Information: -Own paddleboards can be used (same cost). Your board must be fitted with a leash and EC or ISO approved buoyancy aids may be used.

We are also offering instructor lead introduction sessions and formal courses. Our Instructors are all Paddle UK qualified.
