Bury Lake Boat Park Policy
The main details are:
- the facility is available for boats up to 15.8ft (4.8m)
- the annual Licence runs concurrently with a membership and berthing fee
- boat, launch and road trailer must fit into a single berth, if a single berth is being paid for
- all boat owners must provide valid marine insurance, including a minimum £1M Public Liability Indemnity
- the Boat Park is open to all members and groups on allocation of a space
- there is no fee reduction for boat spaces taken up part way through the licence period
- all boats remain on the Boat Park at their owner’s risk, and all users of the Boat Park do so entirely at their own risk
- all boats, launching trailers and road trailers must display the owners contact details on the provided security tags and stickers
- all boat spaces must be regularly tended by their owners – grass cut, weeds removed and the dinghy looked after. Failure to do so will result in the space allocation being revoked.
Should a member be unable to visit the dinghy park over a protracted period he/she should make arrangements for their dinghy space to be cared for in their absence.
Eligibility for space in the boat park
Priority in the allocation of spaces will be given to BLYM.
On space allocation and receipt of appropriate berthing fees, the owner will be asked to place a security tag on the launch trailer and a sticker on the transom of the boat. The security tag must include a name and contact number of the owner. The tag and the transom stickers will state the berth number allocated. Please do not move your boat to another berth.

The boat park berths are sequentially numbered on the fence and your allocated berth number should match the number on the fence.
